Motivation: the reason one has for acting or behaving in a particular way.  The general desire or willingness of someone to do something.

Such a powerful word that can be so hard at times to obtain.  How do you get the motivation to start an exercise program, lose weight or make a personal change in your life?  There are endless articles written on the subject to give you advice on different techniques to help you meet your goal.  The first step might be to do some research and take notes, but you have to decide what would work best for you and just how important and determined you are to achieve this goal. 

Try writing down your goal in a journal and  highlighting the positives. Then celebrate the small steps as you achieve them and remember this is a journey, not a sprint!  It may not be easy but will be worth it in the end.

There are plenty of motivational quotes on the internet.  Find one that inspires you.  Print it and post it where you can see it daily.  How about:  “I’m doing this for Me!” or “Don’t expect to see a change if you don’t make one.” or one last one, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” 

And never forget to enjoy adventure.
